布置 -Constellation-
アーティスト・井澤由花子氏の個展“布置”がギャラリー椿にて開催されました。
彼女は、出産の経験から、自身の胎内で子どもだけが見ている風景のイメージを絵にしています。具体的に記憶にあるわけではないのに、なぜか懐かしく感じる原風景のような絵。絵の中には、湿度が高いのにものすごく澄んだ空気があって、無音の風が吹き、地にゆらめく水はちょうどよい温度をしていて、鼓動のリズムで波打っている。じっと見ていると、この世とは違う、人智の及ばない広く深い場所が存在していて、その中に迷いで込んでしまうように錯覚します。
今回の展覧会に名付けられた“布置”とは、星座の配置を意味する言葉で、ばらばらに散らばった星々が何らかの意味を持っているように見える、そして、やがて神話が生まれていく、ということを指しています。毎日ばらばらに描いていた、生活の営み、数々のニュース、気候の変化などから影響を受けた絵が、星のように点在し、見る人に何かを感じてもらえるような展示にしたい、という作者の想いが込められています。
筆のはこびを感じるようなやわらかなタイポグラフィと、流れ星をつなぐようになぞられたアルファベットたち。静かに光る湖面のようなシルバーの楕円が、外界からの多すぎる情報を濾過していく。そんなイメージでデザインしました。

Fuchi -Constellation-
A solo exhibition by artist Yukako Izawa named “Fuchi -Constellation-” was held at Gallery Tsubaki.
Drawing on her experience of childbirth, she illustrates the scene that a child would see in the womb. Even though I do not have any concrete memories associated with it, this picture reminds me of scenes from my childhood and makes me feel nostalgic for some reason. The picture shows very clear, crisp air, despite the high humidity. In it, a silent wind blows, and the water shimmering on the ground is at just the right temperature as it ripples with the heartbeat’s rhythm. When I look at it, I get the illusion that there exists a wide, deep place different from this world and unreachable by human intelligence, and in which I could get lost.
The term "Fuchi -Constellation-,” which is the name of this exhibition, refers to the configuration of stars. In other words, an area on the celestial sphere in which a group of scattered stars forms a perceived pattern or outline, typically representing a mythological subject. The pictures, which were drawn separately on different days and influenced by the activities of daily life, numerous events, and changes in the climate, are scattered like stars, reflecting the artist's desire to exhibit works that will make those who view them experience a certain emotion.
The typography reminiscent of brush strokes. The alphabetic characters that can be traced as if they are connecting shooting stars. The silver ellipses, like the surface of a quietly shining lake, filter out the overwhelming amount of information from the outside world. This is the image I had in mind when designing works to feature in this exhibition.
