Klumaru Tea
Klumaru Teaのブランドの根幹となっているのは、創業者の過去の経験からくる「自分を大切にしてほしい」という願い。くるまるようにやわらかな湯気に包まれるおかっぱの女の子をイメージして、マークを制作しました。
茶葉は、福岡県と三重県の茶園から。福岡県の茶園は、川霜に包まれた八女茶の産地にあります。やわらかな若芽を収穫する希少なお茶は、土づくりのために有機肥料を主に使っています。三重県の茶園は、清流である宮川が流れる度会町にあります。有機栽培で育った茶の樹は70年前に種から植えたもの。
自然に抱かれこだわりぬかれたお茶をより魅力的に伝えるため、古伊万里を参考に、それぞれのお茶と相性の良い湯呑みをイラストレーターの藤本巧氏と共に考え、描いていただきました。
とうもろこしを原料としたティーサシェは、コンポスト可能。パウチ袋は、せめて減プラに挑むために紙を基材とし、バリアコート層のみ薄いプラスチックのフィルムを用いた素材を使用しました。酸素や水分の透過性が低い特殊な素材です。リサイクルにおいては課題があるものの、ブランドができる範囲のことを様々に検討を重ね、選んでいます。
ラベルの印刷は、株式会社ショウエイ。全てのオフセットの印刷物をNON-VOCインキを印刷しています。大気汚染を招く危険性の高い有害物質・VOC（揮発性有機化合物）を発生させる石油系溶剤をほぼ使用していないものです。印刷におけるCO2排出量は100%削減。
ラベルの紙はFSC森林認証紙を選択。管理や伐採が環境や地域社会に配慮して行なわれている森林のパルプが使われています。

Klumaru Tea
At the heart of the Klumaru Tea brand is a wish rooted in the founder’s personal experiences: a hope that people will take time to care for themselves. The logo was created with the image of a bob-haired girl gently wrapped in soft tea steam, as if "Klumaru" (to be enveloped or wrapped).
Their tea leaves are sourced from tea gardens in Fukuoka and Mie Prefectures. The Fukuoka tea garden is located in Yame, a region known for its high-quality green tea, nurtured by river mists. These rare teas, made from tender young buds, are cultivated using primarily organic fertilizers to enrich the soil. The Mie garden is situated in Watarai Town, where the clear Miyagawa River flows. The organically grown tea plants there were started from seed 70 years ago.
To express the distinct charm of these carefully grown teas, I collaborated with illustrator Takumi Fujimoto to design traditional teacups inspired by Old Imari porcelain, each chosen to match the character of the tea inside.
Their tea sachets are made from corn-based material and are compostable. I’ve taken a sustainable approach by using paper as the main material, with only a thin plastic film used as the outer coating. This special material has low oxygen and moisture permeability. Though recycling remains a challenge, we continue to explore and adopt the best possible choices within our reach.
Label printing is done by SHOEI Co., Ltd. All ink used for printing is specifically NON-VOC ink. Petroleum-based solvents that generate VOCs (volatile organic compounds) were almost never used, as these harmful substances carry a high risk of causing air pollution. CO2 emissions from printing are also reduced by 100%.
For label paper, FSC-certified paper is selected. Pulp is used from forests where management and logging are conducted with concern for the environment and regional community.
